Privacy Policy
01What we do not collect
The App transmits none of the following — or anything else — to us or to any third party.
- Identifying information such as your name, email address or phone number (the App requires no account)
- Your audio files, or their filenames, tags and locations
- Listening history, play counts, favorites or playlist contents
- Location, contacts, calendar or photos
- The advertising identifier (IDFA) or any other tracking identifier
The App contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK and no crash-reporting SDK. Its App Store privacy declaration states no data collected and no tracking.
02What stays on your device
To function, the App stores the following in a database on your device. None of it leaves the device.
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| File references (bookmarks, paths, durations, file signatures) | To play tracks in the folders you selected, and to follow files you move or rename |
| Track tags (title, artist, album, genre, year) | To build the lists and let you narrow playback to a range |
| Artwork images | To display lists and the playback screen |
| Play counts, favorites, playlists, playback queue | To decide the shuffle order and restore your playback state |
| App settings such as appearance | To remember your preferences (UserDefaults) |
| Trial start date | To manage the 14-day trial period (stored in the Keychain) |
Deleting the App removes this data from your device, except the trial start date, which remains in the Keychain so the trial period cannot simply be restarted.
03Permissions
- File access: only the folders you choose yourself in the Files app. The App cannot read anywhere else.
- Media & Apple Music: used to read tracks in your device's Music library. Read-only — the App never modifies your library. DRM-protected streaming tracks cannot be handled.
You can revoke either permission at any time in iOS Settings. Doing so makes the affected tracks unplayable.
The App does not use push notifications, so it never asks for notification permission.
04Network activity
The App never talks to a server of ours. Network activity happens in exactly two cases, both between your device and Apple or your storage provider.
- Making or restoring the in-app purchase (through Apple's StoreKit)
- Downloading tracks kept in cloud storage (through the Files app, with that service)
How a cloud storage provider handles information is governed by that provider's own privacy policy.
05Purchase information
The in-app purchase is processed by Apple. We never receive card numbers or other payment details. Through App Store Connect we can see only aggregated, non-identifying figures such as unit sales.
06Information sent through the contact form
The form on the contact page is provided by a third-party service. A name, email address and message submitted through it are used solely to reply to you and to investigate the issue, and for no other purpose. They are not provided to any third party, except where disclosure is required by law.
The form provider's own privacy policy applies to its handling of that information.
07Children's privacy
Because the App collects no personal data, it is safe to use at any age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
08Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy as needed. Revisions are posted on this page and the date at the top is updated. If a change would widen the range of information collected, we will say so inside the App.
